Subject/Title: Policy and Green Entrepreneurship - A case study of France, Germany and the UK

Background

Following an MSc in Entrepreneurship from the Ecole de Management de Strasbourg, France, I returned to Stirling in October 2011 to start an ESRC-funded PhD under the supervision of Dr Markus Kittler and Professor William Webster. Prior to my MSc, I completed a BA (Hons) in International Management and Intercultural Studies here at Stirling.

Between February and September 2011, I worked for Stirling Council Waste Services as a Recycling Promotions Officer.

Research Interests

My ESRC-funded PhD is concerned with how policy should be designed to stimulate and support green entrepreneurship in France, Germany and Britain.  

In addition to environmental entrepreneurship, I am also interested in public sector management and public policy.

Conference Presentations

“The emergence of social enterprise as a result of volatility and contradictions in the public sector: Evidence from Scotland.”  Paper presented at IRSPM XV1 Conference in Rome, April 2012.

SEDP02 Responsible Business Module.

Languages

  • English (native language).
  • French: undergraduate study and MSc studied in French.
  • German: Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom (Goethe Institut) qualification corresponding to level C2 on the Bologna scale.

Other Interests

I am currently secretary of Stirling University Business Club which aims to promote members’ academic performance in business studies and help them hone their practical business skills.
