Subject/Title: Investigation of alternatives for persistent firm growth from established long-lasting SME owners' experiences
First Supervisor: Professor Ronald McQuaid
Second Supervisor:   Dr Suzanne Mawson

Background

After graduating as an engineering PhD (Microwave Electronics) at Dongguk University South Korea in 2012, I started my PhD study in the combination course (1year MRes + 3year PhD)  from Sept 2016 and I finished MRes in the last summer. I was a research engineer and a patent analyst in two companies for three years. Since 2006, I had been worked as a civil servant of Korea government (Ministry of SMEs and Startups) for 10 years. From those experiences, I extracted the research thesis and I am researching about SMEs in order to find alternatives for entrepreneurs’ continuous business.

Research Interests

I was always considering about solutions for entrepreneurs’ lasting business when I worked as a civil servant. I focused on SMEs growth and long-lasting SMEs.
