Stirling-led Study Underlines Impact of Plain Packaging on Smoking

Plain packaging of cigarettes will make smoking less attractive, reduce misconceptions about the harm from smoking and make health warnings more visible. These are the findings from the first systematic review of studies of the impact of plain packaging, led by researchers from the University of Stirling and published in October in scientific journal Plos One.

Professor William Webster appointed as Chair of the MOSAIC Ethics Advisory Board

Professor William Webster has been appointed Chair of the independent Ethics Advisory Board of the European Commission funded MOSAIC project. The 'MOSAIC Multi-Modal Situation Assessment & Analytics Platform' project seeks to integrate surveillance and intelligence systems into a decision support tool to be used by practitioners.
