Professional Recognition for Accounting & Finance Students

Top performing Accounting and Finance students at Stirling Management School were recognised recently at the division’s annual prize giving lunch. Prizes for undergraduate students are provided by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and by international accounting firm, KPMG. The prizes are awarded to students based on the best performance in Auditing and External Reporting modules.

“What I Wish I Knew” conference established by MSc Investment Analysis Student Bernard Tawiah

Stirling Management School MSc Investment Analysis student Bernard Tawiah gave the opening address and first speech at the third annual “What I Wish I Knew” (WIWIK) conference on 24 March, 2017 at his alma mater, the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Ghana. The conference is the brainchild of Bernard, who established it in the final year of his Bachelor degree studies at UCC, in spring 2015. Little did he know that it was to become an annual event that would attract 1,000 attendees and volunteers in 2017.

Stirling students’ strong finish in global trading competition

A team of Stirling Management School students have demonstrated their trading prowess by finishing in 27th place from the 595 teams that competed in the 2017 CME Group Trading Challenge. Organized by the world's leading market place for financial derivatives, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), this year saw 2,383 students from 242 universities, spread across 35 countries, participate in the online competition. The Stirling students are studying for the MSc in Investment Analysis, a Program Partner of CFA Institute, the leading global body of investment professionals.
