Welcome to Stirling Management School - we are delighted to have you join us!
Your first few weeks on campus will be busy. It can be fun but also challenging and it is important to make sure you are aware of the services and opportunities that we offer to help you get the best out of university life.
To help you settle in, we run an action packed first few weeks. The first meetings (for Undergraduates) and the Flying Start Leadership Programme (for Postgraduates) are designed to ensure that you prepare and learn more about your course, new ways of learning, meet new friends and get to know your lecturers, so be sure to attend these sessions as a priority.
As part of the University of Stirling, our vision is to be acknowledged worldwide as a distinguished Management School that addresses the social and environmental needs of society through innovation, interdisciplinary research and education. We have the opportunity to influence the future of our society by education and shaping future leaders.
We are committed to student employability, and are proud of the fact that 96% of our students go on to work or further education within six months of graduating (HESA Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey 2015/16). Please look out for the many events which run throughout the semester where you will have an opportunity to engage with employers and improve your career prospects. Details of these will be publicised on Succeed as well as the School website.
Our commitment to whole person development is testament to the success of our students’ employability and the skills they develop during their time at Stirling.
I hope that you are as excited as we are about the aspirations we have at the Stirling Management School and I look forward to welcoming you all in September. You have made a great start by choosing to study at Stirling, and I wish you all the very best of luck. University life will expose you to many great friendships, opportunities and experiences that will last you a lifetime - enjoy the experience!
