We work with a wide range of businesses and individuals on an ongoing basis through a range of initiatives which are detailed below. This provides our students with opportunities to meet experienced industry contacts with whom they can discuss their course and its application to real business and commerce. It also allows them to improve their networking skills, learn valuable insights and build confidence in their own abilities and aspirations.
The University of Stirling Management School offers a range of scholarships. There are various categories of funding available to employers who want to support students who do not have the resources to further their education. Scholarships can be linked to internships and future employment.
We offer a number of opportunities for students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level to work directly with industry through individual and group consultancy projects on a wide range of topics.
We are closely associated with leading figures willing to share their insights on contemporary management topics. We regard these talks as an essential part of the development of our students as well-rounded leaders who can think critically and offer innovative solutions.
This Programme helps students gain a competitive edge when they enter the working world. The process can be as simple as mentors engaging with a student, or a group of students, by email or telephone. However, we would encourage mentees to shadow a senior executive or manager in the workplace. Some mentors provide job leads and go as far as preparing students for interview.
A number of organisations support students through prizes for academic excellence or support research projects based on an innovative proposal. Some offer prizes that enable students to attend research conferences or participate in international exchange programmes. We acknowledge award sponsors at prize-giving ceremonies and in our publicity campaigns.
The University of Stirling Management School cultivates relationships with organisations that give our students opportunities to build practical management competence through on-site visits. We appreciate the generosity of business experts who share in-depth insights and engage in lively discussions on real-world business practices and challenges during company visits.
