The University seeks to redeploy employees who cannot continue in their current role, into a suitable alternative role in line with the redeployment procedure.

A benefit of considering redeployment is a potential reduction in time to fill the post, the vacancy may not require to proceed to advert and may only require an individual interview, in addition it is likely shorter notice periods will be involved.  As redeployment involves placement in a broadly similar role, the employee may take less time to induct to the role and will already be familiar with the University.
