Rebecca Paterson studied adult nursing at our Highland Campus in Inverness. She graduated as a nurse in our Highland Graduation in November 2010. Rebecca was presented with her award on Wednesday 2 February at our Highland Campus, in the Centre for Health Sciences, Inverness.
Although Rebecca had initially wanted to be a nurse, her career took her on a different path. Later she realised she really did want to be a nurse and chatted with friends who'd recently graduated. They recommended it, saying taking the nursing course at Highland was the best thing they ever did.
Rebecca is now working at in Inverness at Meallmore Lodge and the NHS Highland Nurse Bank.
Dr Annetta Smith, Associate Head for Highland Campus commented: "Rebecca has been an excellent student all through the programme and a is credit to Stirling University and to the Highlands. Her Award recognises the excellent contribution the students of the School make to clinical practice and importantly it recognises how this excellence is supported and acknowledged by our mentors."
