Supporting Research Students at Stirling

Research Compass is the online system used to support research students at Stirling and is a one-stop web-based system providing a framework of support, formal and informal progress monitoring and an interactive skills development and skills training system for our research postgraduate community.

Who is Research Compass for?

Research Compass is for students studying on research degrees at the University of Stirling.  These are MPhil, PhD and those students in the thesis stage of Professional Doctorate Programmes.  Research Compass is also for academic staff supervising research students and for administrative staff responsible for progress monitoring and supporting students through the administrative processes.

How do you access Research Compass?

Research Compass is available to the student and staff member groups identified above through their 'MyPortal' page.  A link to Research Compass is available on the 'Student Admin' tab under 'Administrative Links'.

If you are having trouble accessing or using Research Compass then please contact infocentre@stir.ac.uk and give a clear and detailed explanation of the problems you are experiencing.
