Unfortunately, there will be no in-person graduations in November 2021 and instead we will celebrate the achievements of our graduates with faculty virtual celebrations.
This follows the difficult decision made earlier in the year, when the University announced it would not be holding in-person graduation ceremonies due to the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite Scotland having since progressed to ‘beyond level 0’ status, we are conscious that this is being kept under constant review by the Scottish Government, and that we continue to operate under heightened health and safety measures.
Due to this risk of last-minute changes, the time and logistics involved in arranging our graduation ceremonies, and to allow staff to focus on next year’s events, we will not be revisiting this decision.
November 2021 award arrangements
Students will still graduate, as scheduled – receiving their award documentation electronically, in PDF format, and their award certificate via post.
Future in-person events for 2020 and 2021 graduands
We recognise that graduation is a milestone for our students and their loved-ones, and our 2020 and 2021 graduates will be invited to a future in-person celebration.
Unfortunately, we are not able to advise of any particular dates or arrangements at this time but we will provide updates on future in-person celebrations as they become available.
