Japan Week: Japanese-style Lunch

Venue: The Crush Hall, Pathfoot Building, University of Stirling

An exploration of Japan's culture wouldn't be complete without a chance to sample its iconic cuisine, but there's so much, much more to it than sushi.  Forget your usual sandwiches and join us for a lunch inspired by Japan.

A selection of dishes will be available, with green tea to finish.  Enjoy!

Menu:

To start
Japanese ramen noodle soup or Vegetable tempura with soy and dipping sauce

Main event - choose 2 dishes
Katsu chicken with sticky rice
Soba noodle and edamame salad with grilled tofu
Teriyaki beef stir fry with coriander egg noodle
Aubergine and green pepper miso stir fry

To finish
Sata andagi (sweet deep fried buns, similar to doughnuts, from the island of Okinawa)

Registration

This event is part of the University of Stirling's Japan Week 2018. The event is open to all. The lunch costs £12 per person, and places should be booked online in advance here.
