Japanese Shodo (calligraphy) and Tsumami-zaiku (pinching handiwork) Workshop

Come and try your hand at Shodo (traditional Japanese calligraphy) and Tsumami-zaiku (pinching handiwork) in a relaxed environment.

During our workshop with Yoko Murata, you will learn a little on the history of the Japanese writing system, and how to write your name or Japanese words on traditional Japanese paper using a brush and ink. You will also have the chance to make highly decorative flowers using traditional Japanese cloth.

This event is part of the University of Stirling's Japan Series 2019. The event is free to attend and open to all, but places are limited. Attendees need to register in advance through Eventbrite.
