Social work practice in times of disaster free workshop at the University of Stirling

The University of Stirling’s Faculty of Social Sciences is hosting a free two-day workshop for social work practitioners on 19 and 20 September. Entitled ‘Social work practice in times of disaster’, the course will allow attendees to share experiences of disaster social work, discuss best practice, and identify training needs.
Hosted by Professor Lena Dominelli at the Iris Murdoch Conference Centre on campus, the course will run from 10am to 4pm on both days. The event is being delivered in partnership with the Scotland Association of Social Workers.
Attendees will participate in small group discussions on a number of relevant topics and complete short assessments designed to determine their areas of existing expertise and training needs.
