Gordon Douglas - Black Box Take Stock
For one day only the Art Collection will be hosting the Travelling Gallery. The Gallery is showcasing a new solo exhibition Black Box Take Stock by Glasgow-based artist Gordon Douglas. To mark the Travelling Gallery's 40th birthday, Gordon was invited to explore their archives and travel with the bus in order to produce an exciting new exhibition for our Autumn 2018 tour. Gordon developed an interest in the operation and upkeep of the vehicle and, as a performance artist, what acts of maintenance go into performing the narrative, social collaborations and technologies of the gallery.
The travelling gallery will be touring from August – December 2018.
