Community Open Doors Day: Heart of Scotland Choir

As part of our Faculty of Social Sciences activities for our Community Open Doors Day, join us for a performance by the Heart of Scotland Choir.
The Heart of Scotland Choir is a multi-generational community choir based here in Stirling. Started in 2010 by sisters Annie Smart, and Jane Hamilton, the choir is open to all members of the community regardless of experience or ability. They have appeared at Stirling Hogmanay, as well as famously appearing on John Barowman’s BBC1 Saturday evening show ‘Tonight’s the Night’. They perform in a range of styles from golden oldies of jazz and blues, to more contemporary rock and pop.
Our Community Open Doors day aims to bring every part of the campus alive by inviting the local community in to join us in celebrating the anniversary. The programme includes: engaging talks; a Science Fair in the Atrium; a chance to explore the history of the University through the Archives; participation in a series of fun activities; and an adaptation of the daily mile challenge to tie the events and activities together.
