The Federico García Lorca Reading Group will meet for the first time this year to discuss the fascinating cinematographic world of Spanish PEDRO ALMODOVAR. While we would like to include in the discussion any of his long list of films and cultural interests the session will kick off considering the importance of his film Volver within his oeuvre.
Everyone is welcome to attend, academic staff, postgraduate, undergraduate students and general public interested in Almodovar, Spanish cinema and queer theory. It is not essential to be on time or remain until the end of the session. Participants will be encouraged to discuss the agenda for future meetings share their thoughts and questions on the play in whatever way they desire to do so.
RSVP: If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to get in touch with the organizers, Dr Antonio Sanchez, Dr Guillermo Olivera or Mr Mauro Di Lullo
