7.00PM - 11.30AM

Venue: Albert Halls, Dumbarton Road, Stirling

Stirling Council has commissioned a new dramatic piece of work as part of the First World War commemorations in June. ‘Stirling's Great War - The Homefront’ explores the impact of the first draft in 1915 on local communities. David Smith (of The Smith Museum and Tapsalteerie Theatre group) has worked with four local primary schools on the new play, which has period songs from the First World War and will be performed by the children of Allan's, Borestone, Gargunnock and St. Ninian's primary schools.

To make the performances as accessible as possible, the events will be ticketed but tickets are free. We will be distributing posters to local libraries, community groups, schools, residential homes and other interest groups as well as using our usual print and online communication channels.

There will be two performances:

  • Thursday 04 June 19:00 - 20:15pm
  • Friday 05 June 10:15 - 11:30am
