Portering Team

The Facilities Portering Team comprises 11 porters including a Portering Supervisor.  Key roles performed by the Portering team include:

  • Opening/securing lecture theatres, classrooms and meeting rooms;
  • Check/adjust classroom, meeting room configurations and capacities;
  • Setups for examinations and events;
  • Delivery/collection of mail items to/from external buildings around the University;
  • Movement of equipment and furniture around the University;
  • Providing office moves
  • Uplift of waste and re-usable resources from common areas (and offices upon request).
