Study BSc Nursing (Adult)

Adult nursing is a challenging and rewarding profession that offers a wide range of roles caring for people and promoting health.We work with the Nursing and Midwifery Council to ensure that you receive the practical training and modern skills you need to join nursing teams after graduation. Our research-led, practice-driven and people-focused ethos has helped us to win numerous Student Nursing Times Awards.

Choose Stirling for Nursing

Nursing is a dynamic profession, and we’ll give you the training and confidence necessary to fulfil your role in the healthcare teams of tomorrow. Our nursing courses are approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. We also work with NHS Forth Valley, to ensure that our course remains clinically excellent and that you’ll receive the best possible practical training.

Scholarships available

Students from England, Wales and Northern Ireland are eligible for our Nursing Scholarship providing a £2,000 per year (years 1-3), a guaranteed place in University-managed accommodation during year 1 and access to Nursing Bursary

Guaranteed accommodation

If you are from England, Wales, Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland and apply by 31 August you'll be guaranteed an offer of University-managed accommodation in your first year of study. Accommodation available to new Nursing students will be John Forty's Court located off campus on the main bus route to Stirling town centre and the University.
