Dr Annalisa Savaresi, Lecturer in Environmental Law, Law School

Annalisa has several years' experience researching, teaching and working with environmental law. Her research focuses on climate change, biodiversity, forestry, renewable energy and the interplay between environmental and human rights law. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed outlets and has been widely cited, including by the United Nations Environment Programme and the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. 

Annalisa has taught international, European and comparative environmental law at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as part of doctoral and executive education programmes at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom; Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, Italy; the University of Copenhagen, Denmark; and the University of la Sabana, Colombia. She has served as a consultant for prestigious think-tanks and organisations, including the International Institute for Sustainable Development(IISD) and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Annalisa is member of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law, and associate editor of the Review of European, Comparative and International Law.
