We understand that, sometimes, you might want to have a more confidential discussion. We have quieter booths available at the back of the Hub for just these sorts of conversations. If you want to have a more private chat away from the front desk, just let your Student Hub Assistant know when you come to visit us.

Student Support Services provides much of the support that you might require whilst you are studying here at Stirling. We offer a wide range of support, information and specialist services, all of which are designed to enhance your student experience.
Why have you created a new Student Services Hub?
The Student Services Hub was created to make it easier for students to get the assistance they need. Rather than having to work out what service you need to get in touch with, you now just have to contact the Student Hub team, call one single number, or send one email to email@example.com Our team will assist you or will find the person who can!
Have the services you offer changed?
We still offer all the same services as before, such as support for disabled students, counselling and wellbeing, budgeting advice, information about housing or welfare benefits, access to STEER mentors, advice for students who are thinking about changing a module or programme, support for study, access to the Job Shop, advice about your future career, or facilities to make payments. All that has changed is that we've created a new single contact point to make your life easier.
Will I still get to see my usual Adviser?
From now on, there will be a Duty Adviser in place - based in 2A1, the Student Services Hub, Queens Court entrance of Cottrell - to provide support to our Student Hub team. If the Student Hub team can't answer your question, the Duty Adviser will be on hand to assist. The Duty Adviser you talk to will depend on the day of the week. However, they are all trained to be able to provide you with the support you need and to deal with crisis situations if they arise.
If you have a support worker in place, such as a Mental Health Mentor or a Study Skills Tutor, these arrangements will not change.
Will confidentiality be affected?
The Student Services Hub staff are all part of the Student Support Services team, which is part of Student, Academic & Corporate Services. They take your confidentiality very seriously. 10:00 - 17:00 Tuesday
Closed Saturday and Sunday
Our busiest times are 11:00 - 14:00 daily, so if you're in a hurry or don't want to wait we suggest visiting outside of these times if possible.
