Returning Undergraduates

Undergraduates who are advancing to their 2nd, 3rd or 4th years can apply for University accommodation, although there is no priority or guarantee given, that accommodation can be provided.

 

Session 2018/19 Accommodation Applications

Applications for accommodation for students moving into their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate study will open, online, on Wednesday 4 April at 9.30am

If you are a student who needs to make a priority application, this can be done, online, the week before the main applications open.  Priority applications will open on Monday 26 March at 9.30am and close on Thursday 29 March at 4.00pm.  Students who require a priority must be registered with the University Accessibility and Inclusion Service and have a requirement for specific accommodation.  Any student applying during this period as part of a group must note that their group size can be no larger than 2 students (including yourself).

Please note:

  • Accommodation spaces are very limited for session 2018-19
  • Students with a serious disciplinary and/or debt record will not be considered for University accommodation.

Alexander Court Exterior

For students who will be studying abroad for the spring semester semester & require accommodation for the autumn semester, you can apply for accommodation in March/April 2018, choosing the correct contract length (see below) and the accommodation options will be Beech Court Flats & John Forty’s Court (Ensuite Flats)


Accommodation Contract Dates for 2018/19 are as follows:

17 week (Autumn Semester Only) 9 September 2018 02 January 2019
38 weeks 9 September 2018 01 June 2019
42 weeks (FVC) 25 August 2018 15 June 2019

These dates indicate your contract period, so please ensure you arrange your travel plans accordingly.

All accommodation for returning undergraduates is offered on a 38/42 week let basis for session 2018/19 meaning that students can continue to occupy their rooms over the Christmas vacation period.


Returning Integrated Degree Students (Forth Valley College)

If you are returning to Stirling for your second year on the integrated degree course, your course starts a few weeks earlier than the majority of other new students.  Accommodation is available to you for these extra weeks so your arrival will be Saturday 25 August 2018.

For 2018/19 the property that will be available is Union Street Development, located off campus in the city of Stirling.  This property is ideally located it gives easier access to Forth Valley College as well as the University campus
