Returning Undergraduates

Undergraduates who are advancing to their 2nd, 3rd or 4th years can apply for University accommodation, although there is no priority or guarantee given, that accommodation can be provided.

Session 2017/18 Accommodation Applications

Applications for accommodation for students moving into their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate study will open, online, at 9am on Monday 20 March 2017.

If you are a student who requires to make a priority application, this can be done, online, the week before, from 9am on Monday 13 March (they will close at 5pm on Thursday 16 March 2017).  Students who require a priority must be registered with the University Accessibility and Inclusion Service and have a requirement for specific accommodation.  Any student applying in this window as part of a group must note that their group size can be no larger than 3 students (including yourself).

Please note – students with a serious disciplinary and/or debt record will NOT be considered for University accommodation.



For Session 2017/18, accommodation available to returning undergraduates will be:

Alexander Court Exterior

For students who will be studying abroad for either the autumn or spring semester, you can apply for accommodation in March 2017, choosing the correct contract length (see below) and the accommodation options will be Alexander Court (Standard Flats) and Union Street.

Accommodation Contract Dates for 2017/18 are as follows:

42 weeks (FVC) 26 August 2017 16 June 2018

These dates indicate your contract period, so please ensure you arrange your travel plans accordingly.

All accommodation for returning undergraduates is offered on a 38/42 week let basis for session 2017/18 meaning that students can continue to occupy their rooms over the Christmas vacation period.

Returning Integrated Degree Students (Forth Valley College)

If you are returning to Stirling for your second year on the integrated degree course, your course starts a few weeks earlier than the majority of other new students.  Accommodation is available to you for these extra weeks so your arrival will be Saturday 26 August 2017.

For 2017/18 the property that will be available is Union Street Development, located off campus in the city of Stirling.  This property is ideally located it gives easier access to Forth Valley College as well as the University campus
