What people are saying about us

The location, the service, the ease of booking, the security and the atmosphere around the University are all ideal for the type of accommodation we needed. I have recommended the University to others and will definitely use it again. Thank you very much for making it so easy.

The Embroiderer's Guild have been coming to Stirling University for several years and find the central location and attractive site very popular with our members. We have found the staff at Stirling very friendly and helpful and willing to adapt to meet our requirements. We are delighted that we are able to have a choice of accommodation with ensuite or shared facilities. We have found the classroom accommodation highly satisfactory and the catering arrangements more than adequate. We would be happy to recommend Stirling University as a suitable venue for similar events.

I wish to express my sincere appreciation to you and your team at commercial operations for the excellent job you did during the 11th Annual Conference of INFER. Your smartness, effective organisational skills, coupled with the professionalism with which you deployed all the tasks involved were largely responsible for the successful conference we had over the weekend, and I'll recommend you unreservedly to anyone considering organising an event anywhere in the world! Many thanks and keep it up!!

Paul Alagidede, Stirling Management School

We had a fantastic time at Stirling at the weekend. We found the selection of food available very satisfying, with no complaints from anyone. The food certainly did keep everyone happy. The accommodation was also suited to our needs. It was close to the facilities we were using, which was a bonus for the early morning session we had. The rooms were spacious enough for each person, and we found the facility to have a high level of cleanliness. We also found the accommodation to be very secure, and we found it free from distractions of other guests in neighbouring blocks.

The Scottish Association for Music Education is an organisation which reaches out to those involved in music education at all levels across Scotland. One of its aims is to bring together practitioners both for CPD opportunities and for fellowship. Since its initial one day conference in September 2002, SAME has become a regular visitor to Stirling University where almost always in late summer sunshine, the enthusiasm of music education professionals has been refreshed and revitalised. Some of this is down to the available professional input but a lot is due to the sheer suitability of the venue in use.

SAME's expectations are high and a combined population over 600 delegates, exhibitors and presenters gives the Commercial arm of the University a chance to show its strength. The mere fact that SAME has returned year after year to Stirling speaks volumes and SAME can highly recommend the facilities on offer, from rooms to catering, from technical support to professional business inputs. SAME not only visits once a year for a main conference but now books the venue for additional conferences and meetings. An additional jewel in the crown of the operation is the Management Centre where top standard accommodation and catering are available. Almost now taken for granted is the wonderful setting of Stirling University, a perfect place to get away from other busy environments (lucky students and staff!!).

Two aspects strike me more strongly than others. There is neither a challenge set which is not achieved nor a question unanswered. The greatest asset which the venue has is demonstrated through its staff who can never do enough to ensure that requirements are met. There is always a happy smile and a helping hand whatever the issue.

We at SAME look for the same every year and every year it is better for SAME!
