Charmian Pollok studied at Glasgow School of Art (1988-92) and since graduating has exhibited widely and won many awards. She is generous with her knowledge, running educational workshops and related activities, working with a wide range of people of all ages and abilities.
She currently has an exhibition at the Art Collection and as a result has donated two pieces of work. Entitled 'The Pebbles Were Each One Alive: the Spiritual Life of Things' the exhibition is a collaboration with Elizabeth Anderson, an academic whose research considers the spiritual life of things in the work of women writers from the early Twentieth Century. The two were introduced by the Art Collection and on meeting, found many points of connection.
