Andrew Hay

The Wanderer by Andrew Hay
The Wanderer
(oil on canvas)

Born in 1947, as a child Andrew Hay walked a round trip of ten miles with his father on their ritual Sunday afternoon visits to the Art Galleries at Kelvingrove, the People's Palace or one of the other museums in Glasgow. The visual images that he absorbed at such a young age stayed within him and informed him when in the 1980s, at the age of forty, he began to paint.

This work was gifted by the artist. There are six works by this artist in the Art Collection.
