New York Tartan Week - 5/7 April
New York Drinks: Thursday April 5th
Come and join us for post-work drinks and a bite to eat from 6.30pm onwards!
Thank you to Melissia Schmidt (visiting student 1992) for reserving HandCraft Kitchen for our alumni gathering. We have the space at the front of the restaurant near the entrance by the bar with high cab tables. The front has large roller garage doors that fully open to the street (if the weather co-operates!).
Ask for the manager Rodrigo when you arrive or Melissia. There may also be a fun cocktail for all guests in honour of Tartan Week!
Email email@example.com if you'd like to come along.
Scottish Government Alumni Reception: Friday April 6th
This free event will bring together alumni from all of the Scottish Universities participating in Tartan Week. The venue again is the Norwood Club and the event runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Pre-registration is essential and email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to attend. Places are limited and on a first come first served basis.
Tartan Day Parade (and post parade party): Saturday April 7th
As part of a vibrant and growing community of Scottish University alumni in North America, Stirling graduates will get the opportunity to march in this fantastic event. Starting at 2.00pm at W45th Street, the parade marches up 6th Avenue to 55th Street to the sound of massed pipes and drums, finishing at around 4.00pm. Line-up is at 1.00pm and will be on the side streets near 6th Avenue and West 45th Street. Partners, children and friends are also welcome to join and let me know at email@example.com how many people are in your group.
The post parade party takes place in Maggie's Place from 4.00pm until approximately 7.00pm. Please let me know how many people are attending as we have to purchase tickets!
What do I do now?
If you’d like to join us for drinks or come to the government reception or take part in the parade, reserve your place by emailing me on firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also want to come along to all events, which is great!
More information appears on the Tartan Week website.
We look forward to seeing you soon in New York!
Steve Bedwell (class of 1993) and Melissia Schmidt (visiting student 1992)
