Alumni Ambassadors

‌Welcome to the Alumni Ambassador Programme

If you can spare some time to help Stirling students get ahead in their careers, or speak to prospective students at education fairs we would like to hear from you.

Over the years our alumni volunteers have proved that they are a fantastic asset: helping to organise events, intelligence gathering overseas and assisting with recruiting and career activities for students. We continue to recruit more volunteers through a revitalised Alumni Ambassador Programme.

You can help with a number of activities including:

  • Providing career profiles and advice for students
  • Offering work shadowing opportunities
  • Being a mentor to a current student
  • Offering paid and unpaid internships
  • Organising pre-departure talks for new students
  • Assisting at education fairs
  • Helping us find 'lost' alumni
  • Organising reunion events

Our Alumni Ambassador Programme has four main volunteer categories:

  1. Careers ambassadors
  2. Recruitment ambassadors
  3. Regional ambassadors
  4. Guest lecturers

We currently have a range of ambassadors in 25 cities across the UK.

We're also in touch with ambassadors in over 40 countries around the world who help to organise reunion events and assist at education fairs.

This will be held every July and we'd like to thank those of you who attended the first forum held on Friday 12 July. For an overview of the topics discussed please have a look at the presentation here - download PDF.
