The Academic Learning and Teaching Review considers all aspects of a Division's operations: Organisation and Strategy, Management Arrangements and Postgraduate and Undergraduate Learning and Teaching. The review process was revised in 2003 to take account of guidance from SFC and the QAA for Internal Subject Review and reviewed again in 2008 to take account of feedback from the Enhancement-Led Institutional Review.
Learning and Teaching Review Guidelines
These Guidelines have been produced to provide comprehensive guidance to those academic Divisions about to undergo a Review of Learning and Teaching.
Once dates for the review have been agreed the Review Secretary will have a briefing meeting with the Head of School/Division to go over the Review Guidelines, documentation and programme.
Comments about the effectiveness of both sets of guidelines along with suggestions for further information which you consider should be included, are welcomed, and should be submitted to email@example.com
Guidance for Students
Learning and Teaching reviews allow the University to review all aspects of learning and teaching within a subject area. The reviews are conducted over a 4 to 5 year cycle. The learning and teaching reviews also help the University satisfy external requirements for Higher Education Institutions to monitor and review standards and quality, and the outcomes of the reviews are reported to the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) and the Scottish Funding Council (SFC).
