Our structure and teams

HR and Organisation Development has four main service areas:

  • HR Services
  • HR Partnering
  • Organisation Development
  • Academic Development

HR Services team

The HR Services team is responsible for managing a range of HR activity and brings together five teams:

  • Employee Lifecycle
  • Policy and Casework
  • Payroll and Pensions
  • Recruitment and Resourcing
  • Systems and Data

HR Partnering team

The HR Partnering team is focused on

  • delivering the strategic plan targets, in line with the People Strategy
  • embedding a strategic and successful approach to HR
  • organisation development and change throughout the University
  • improving the core HR service to meet customers’ expectations

Organisation Development team

The Organisation Development team work collaboratively with managers and staff to:

  • develop people and leadership capability
  • develop engagement and collegiality within the University
  • enhance performance of staff members and the University as an organisation
  • develop staff professional agility to deliver organisational change

The Organisation Development team is led by Martin McCrindle, Executive Director of HR & Organisation Development. The Organisation Development Partner is Lorna Prince.

Academic Development team

The Academic Development team work in partnership with staff in enhancing the student learning experience at Stirling. The team seek to enable staff to develop their knowledge, skill and passion for learning  and teaching, and recognise, reward and share excellence across the University. The four core areas that the team focus on through learning and teaching is: design, dialogue, digital and diversity.

The Academic Development team is led by Martin McCrindle, Executive Director of HR & Organisation Development. The Academic Development Partners are Dr Catriona Cunningham and Dr Tom Cunningham.
