Professor Alison Green teaches law in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities with a specific interest in banking law.
Her key roles in the University are as the institutional Dean for Teaching Quality Enhancement and the Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Both roles involve a close focus on improving standards in the University and ensuring students have the best experience and outcomes from their time at Stirling. Within her institutional role she is academic lead for employability.
Alison is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. She is a qualified solicitor in Scotland and worked for over 15 years in corporate law practice before joining the University in 2004. During her time in practice Alison was part of the management team of a medium sized law firm in Scotland and was head of their corporate division.
Alongside her roles at University of Stirling, Alison has held committee appointments with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
