The University of Stirling library is home to more than 500,000 books, inspiring archives and state-of-the art facilities for collaborative learning. We’ve put a lot of work into enhancing the library in recent years, but we know how important it is that our collection keeps evolving to reflect new ideas and meet students’ thirst for knowledge. To address that need, we created the Special Collections Fund – a dedicated resource set aside for adding invaluable new papers and materials to the library.
If you’re passionate about the power of learning, you can support the Special Collections Fund through our Adopt a Book scheme. For a donation of £30, you can have your name – or the name of someone else – added to a book on the library shelves. Some alumni have used the scheme as a chance to acknowledge an inspiring figure or loved one, and you’ll be free to choose a subject area close to your heart when you adopt your book. We’ll also tell you exactly where to find it on the library shelves, should you wish to view it next time you visit the campus.
