Social Sciences undergraduate welcome
All new undergraduate (UG) students
We know you'll be receiving lots of information in the first few weeks of your studies here at the University of Stirling but we aim to make it as smooth as a journey as possible. Basic information on your welcome session is below. If you are studying a joint degree then you should attend the induction events for both subjects.
You'll receive access to the Canvas site, our virtual learning environment, for each of your modules. We encourage you to access Canvas as soon as you can. There you will find all information relating to your studies and modules.
Preparing for study at University - Stirling Essentials
Our Stirling Essentials module provides a summary of the key information you need to be a successful student and it links into more in-depth help and advice, as and when you need it. There are separate versions for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Before you arrive, please do take some time to familiarise yourself with this module and work through its sections. This module will remain available to you throughout your studies, through a link on each Canvas module (log on with your University username and password, if requested).
Welcome and induction events
You are invited to attend the Faculty of Social Science's induction activities as part of your week-one teaching schedule.
