The Computing Science and Mathematics division within the Faculty of Natural Sciences has strong links with Scottish industry through its Industrial Advisory Board (IAB). They are also a member of The Data Lab, which is an Innovation Centre with the aim of developing data science talent and skills required by the industry in Scotland.

Relational and Non-Relational Databases

Gain both the technical skills of database programming and the analytic skills of business modelling needed to reflect the complex data interactions of a business in a database. This course prepares you for a job in database design.

Data Analytics

Learn the theory behind machine learning techniques such as regression, decision trees and neural networks, and learn how to apply them to different kinds of data. This is a technical course, but it also has a very applied focus.
