Stephen Bowman

Stephen completed his BA (Hons) in Scottish History in 2010 and his MRes in Historical Research in 2011 at the University of Stirling. His undergraduate dissertation looked at labour history in Glasgow during the early twentieth century while his Masters, which focussed on Scotland's early-modern urban craft incorporations, was part of a joint project undertaken between the University and National Museums Scotland. After finishing his Masters, Stephen took up a PhD studentship at Northumbria University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He's now been fast-forwarded back into the twentieth century and is currently studying networking between British and American political and social elites in the years before and during the First World War. This work is done under the auspices of the AHRC-funded Locating the Hidden Diaspora project.
