Undergraduate courses

We’re ready to help you succeed in your chosen profession, with a diverse range of courses that allow you to gain sector insights before you graduate. Our undergraduate degrees cover the areas of Education, Sociology, Social Policy, Criminology and Social Work. We also offer professional undergraduate courses in Dementia.

Your employability is one of our top priorities, helping you build the skills that allow you to be the difference and get noticed by potential employers. We encourage you to put your learning into practice with placements and work experience. Our courses are informed and taught by some of the world’s leading academics and experts, and a number are accredited by professional bodies.

In addition, our unique partnership with Heriot-Watt University allows us to offer Primary and Secondary Education degrees that include specialisms in Science, Chemistry, Physics and Engineering Technologies. 

Graduating with a degree from the Faculty of Social Sciences will make you a valuable asset to companies and charitable organisations worldwide. You’ll leave with a background in the principles of social responsibility, and the knowledge and practical skills to make a difference to your community.

BA (Hons) Criminology and Sociology
