We offer a variety of modules for the continuing professional development (CPD) of qualified nurses, midwives and allied health professionals, designed to help you gain new skills and advance your career.
This module will provide the advanced GP or nurse practitioner in training to develop systematic clinical examination skills. This will provide baseline knowledge to promote autonomous clinical decision making by synthesising key clinical findings in determining differential diagnosis.
This module aims to prepare District Nurses and midwives to prescribe safely, appropriately and cost-effectively as independent and supplementary prescribers.
This module was developed to address the continual development of the advanced nurse practitioner role within both the hospital and community settings. This module will facilitate the advanced nurse practitioner to develop the clinical knowledge and expertise in autonomous clinical decision making to facilitate such developments in their role.
Funding for GP nurse and district nurse CPD modules at the University of Stirling may be available through NHS Education for Scotland.
