Toby Paterson

Born in Glasgow in 1974, Toby Paterson studied painting and printmaking at Glasgow School of Art (1991–1995) and also at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1993). He makes paintings, reliefs and constructions which explore the relationship between abstraction and reality. He has exhibited widely nationally and internationally.

This new work was commissioned from Paterson by Fife Contemporary Art and Craft as a way of working in partnership with the Fife Dunfermline Printmakers Workshop and is part of the Generation project.
