Fiona Sandford took up the position of Chair of the University Court in August 2015. Originally from East Kilbride, she has spent her career in Higher Education, most recently as Executive Director of Global Business at London Business School, developing key markets in China, the Middle East and South America. Prior to that she was Director of Careers at London Business School, London School of Economics and UCL.
Fiona is a founding trustee of the Jeans for Genes campaign and for ten years she was a lay member of the UK Government’s advisory body on Gene Therapy. She is currently a consultant to London Business School on leadership skills and behaviours, and a trustee of the Thomas Wall Trust. Fiona is an economics graduate of the University of Stirling and lives in the Scottish Borders.

Harry Adam was the HR Director for Ian Williams a leading property services company before he retired in 2011. Currently he is a Board member at Construction Skills and Chair of their Audit Committee.
Harry started his early career was with British Steel since then he held a number of senior HR positions including HR Directors of Foseco Europe, Burmah Castrol Chemicals and the International Lubricants Division of BP.
His skills include strategy development, large scale change management, employment law, leadership development and performance management.
