McNeil MacLeay RSA (1802-1878)

Born in Oban, McNeil MacLeay was a landscape artist (active from 1829) who concentrated on Highland and West Coast scenes, but also paintings of views around Perth and Stirling. He worked in watercolour and gouache but his most notable pieces are on a grand scale in oil.
