Born in Brighton in 1952 to Spanish immigrant parents, Geoffrey Cervantes was influenced from a young age by surrealist painters especially Dali and Magritte, after seeing an exhibition at the age

In 1993 he emigrated to Spain, and in 1996 was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Although he can now only use his left hand, he is currently still painting. Of Jimi Hendrix, the artist says 'he is probably my number one hero and inspiration-there's not been anyone quite like him since'.
