Baillie Brown

Stirling Wolf
(Terracotta, 2013)

Born in Scotland in 1931, Baillie Brown studied sculpture at Glasgow School of Art with Benno Schotz. She has exhibited widely in Scotland, and also in Spain and Norway. In 2013 she approached the University of Stirling Art Collection with the offer of a donation: a sculpture of the legendary 'Stirling Wolf' which she was inspired to create after her grand-daughter Esme Rankin made a radio documentary about it as part of her Film and Media course here at the University.

It is displayed in one of the Pathfoot courtyards.
