Checklist for Postgraduates

It's not long now until you’ll be joining us at the University of Stirling. We can’t wait to welcome you to our stunning campus and help you get started on your new academic journey.

In order to become an official University of Stirling student, there are a few things you’ll need to do before you arrive.

What do I do first?

  • Accept your unconditional offer. If you have not yet accepted, please do so now by e-mailing graduate.admissions@stir.ac.uk.
  • If you have a conditional place, send us evidence that you have met the conditions set. Please do this by emailing scanned copies of all relevant certificates to graduate.admissions@stir.ac.uk.
  • Book University Accommodation. Information on how to book your accommodation online will have been sent to you when you accepted your unconditional place. If you did not receive this and wish to book accommodation, please email graduate.admissions@stir.ac.uk and we will email or fax the form to you.

When emailing graduate.admissions@stir.ac.uk, you need to quote your full name, programme and your unique 7-digit reference number. This is located at the top of emails and letters sent from the International and Postgraduate Admissions Office.

What happens when I receive my Online Enrolment/Induction Programme email?

Follow the postgraduate enrolment procedure.

Activating your computer account, fee payment and Online Enrolment can also be completed on arrival.

What should I do before I arrive?

  • Plan your arrival and travel arrangements. If you are coming from overseas, remember to book your transfer from the airport. Stirling Direct offer a transfer service, and we recommend that you book by Friday 1 September.
  • Make alternative accommodation arrangements if you are not staying in University Accommodation.
  • Check your programme website for details of inductions for your programme of study.
  • Contact Student Support Services regarding any disabilities or specific learning difficulties for which you may need support.
