Costs

The ISS has been designed as an all inclusive package which includes tuition, field trips, excursions, housing, social activities, designated airport pick up/drop off, as well as, use of the University of Stirling's sport facilities and a dedicated 24 hour team of staff.

 

Stirling BridgeFurther information about this package is available in the what's included page. The cost of the programme is dependent on whether you are planning to study for one block (4 weeks) or two blocks (8 weeks) and how many credits you intend taking.

 

 

One block (2017 prices)

Block 1 (6 US or 10 ECTS credits) £2,875

Two blocks (2017 prices)

Block 1 & Block 2 (9 US or 15 ECTS credits) £5,075
Block 1 & Block 2 with ISS9IN Internship for International Summer School (6 US or 10 ECTS credits and internship) £5,075
Block 1 & Block 2 (12 US or 20 ECTS credits) £5,650

Please note if you are applying through a third party provider the costs may vary due to the additional support provided prior to, during and following your studies.

 

Estimated additional costs

 In addition to everything included in the ISS programme cost, you will likely incur some of the following costs:

  • Travel to/from Scotland (Edinburgh or Glasgow airport), normally by international flight: £600-1200
    This depends on your point of origin. 
  • Food: about £30/week
    This assumes using the furnished kitchen facilities in ISS flats and minimal eating out
  • Textbooks: about £20/modules
    For many modules no textbooks need to be purchased while for others multiple titles are required
  • Local transportation: about £10/week
  • Extracurricular activities and weekend travel: at least £20/week
    This can be considerably more depending on personal travel plans
