Entry requirements and English language

Academic entry requirements

The University of Stirling welcomes applications from all countries and will consider them on an individual basis.

Undergraduate study

Generally speaking, the qualifications which allow you to enter a Bachelor degree in your own country would be considered for entry here at Stirling, either directly or via our tailored International Study Centre foundation programmes including the International Foundation Year which leads to second year Bachelor degree entry and the International Diploma which leads to third year Bachelor degree entry.

Postgraduate study

As a guide, we look for a strong Bachelor Honours degree or equivalent for students applying from outside the UK. Alternatively our Pre-Master's programme may be an option for entry into Master's programmes.

English language requirements

If English is not your first language, you’ll need to demonstrate a minimum level of English language proficiency.

The English Language Qualifications List provides details of tests approved by the University.
