The Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship competition will open in January with a deadline of 2 March 2017. These Fellowships provide career development opportunities for early career researchers with a proven record of research but who have not held an established academic appointment.
The objective is for Fellows to undertake a significant piece of publishable research during the tenure of the award. The proposed project should therefore not be a mere extension of the candidate’s doctoral research project. Full scheme details can be found here.
We would like to encourage applications from promising candidates, either internal or external* to the University, and will support the selection and application process.
A mandatory briefing session will be held on Thursday 12th January between 10am and 11:30am in the Enterprise Zone at the University of Stirling. The session will highlight the details of the Fellowship and how the Research and Enterprise Office will support the selection and application process.
Please register to attend the briefing session by clicking here.
The Fellowships require 50% match-funding from the University and thus the University will only consider the highest quality applications for submission. Therefore an internal process will be implemented.
For further details on the internal process or if you cannot attend the briefing session but wish to apply, please contact your Faculty Research Funding team member.
*Please note that if you are an external candidate and wish to apply through the University of Stirling, it is anticipated that your mentor will already be based at the University.
