People Centred Healthcare

This cross disciplinary Institute brings together clinical, corporate, economic and community perspectives for critical inquiry into the organisational, managerial and community challenges of healthcare in Scotland, the UK and internationally. This incorporates an analysis of theory, policy, practice gaps and their management - from public health to tertiary care, children's health to older people's health. Our research explores various approaches to quality improvement through better healthcare management, including:

  • Partnership, participation and shared decision making
  • Leadership and mutuality
  • Challenges in human health resources
  • Healthcare systems and modelling
