About me

I went to film school in Colombia but decided that I liked history better, so I got my PhD at Glasgow in 2012 with a thesis on early film distribution in Scotland. I then worked as a research assistant for an AHRC-funded project on Early Cinema in Scotland, and have recently joined Stirling as a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow. My current project, called 'Ephemeral cinemas in historical perspective', has a more contemporary focus, looking at film exhibition in non-permanent venues.

I am also one of the coordinators for the History of Moviegoing, Exhibition and Reception (HoMER) Network, and a board member with Document Film Festival.

I live in Glasgow with some humans and a dog. I like people, music, and light.
