At Machrihanish we carry out contract research to GLP for the aquaculture, animal feed and veterinary pharma sectors, as well as hosting academic research and students from around the world. The team identify and evaluate potential tools for control of salmon pathogens and parasites using in-house challenge models, test improved feeds, and find bespoke solutions to pressing industry problems. My role is to design protocols, direct and carry out studies, collect and analyse data and report on what we find for customers.
