My research interests include transition (Primary/Secondary) and student teacher identities/development.
Following an initial training in English Studies and French, I changed direction and pursued my interest in IT, gaining a Masters degree in the discipline en route.
I have taught both French and Computing Studies in Scottish secondary schools and was latterly head of the Computing section of a newly formed ICT department.
My current position is that of Lecturer on the ITE programme, working primarily with Computing Studies/Business Studies Education students. I am also co-ordinator of the School of Education's Summer Academic Programme and co-ordinates The Stirling Institute's microteaching programme with Dr John I'Anson.
