Continuing Professional Development
CPD is a vital part of retaining and developing excellence within NMAHP professions and as such it should be welcomed by those genuinely interested in improving their own practice, and in passing such improvements on to fellow practitioners to the ultimate benefit of the service user.
We offer a variety of short courses, modules and programmes for the continuing professional development of qualified nurses, midwives and allied health professionals.
These are designed with students in mind and are delivered using a blend of teaching methods, including many opportunities for distance learning and online study. All modules and programmes have been designed to benefit your clinical practice and ultimately for the patients you care for.
If you are interested in providing tailor-made training for your organisation, the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health can offer such bespoke courses. These can either take place at the University or in your workplace for the convenience of you and your staff.

Online modules and flexible learning hours ease the pressure of juggling work, studies and personal life. There are many experienced nurses in the workplace without a degree – if you’re one of these nurses, you could be pleasantly surprised to discover you could need as few as three degree modules to achieve your degree.

It is suitable for welfare, social care and allied healthcare professionals, professionals working charitable organisations and others in the voluntary sector.
